Can I say” The train track’s /railway’s lines end at the subway station, but the passengers go on through the bus’s routes until their homes”, can’t do?

Great post, teacher. What about this one “If you step out ofthe line I’ll ground you”… in the sense of a father or mather concerned about his/her child’s misbehavior. Can I say that?
