Hi Alessandro! I’m enjoying this serie of posts about job interview but I’d like to ask something: Why would somebody ask “What day is today?”
Take care!

Só não entendi uma coisa…
What did you like to do on weekends?
Por que não “What DO you like to do on weekends?” ?
Parabéns pelo trabalho de vocês, abraços.

Brian, I would also ask “What do you do on the weekends” because the interviewer is asking about your habits. We use the present tense to talk about habits.
What did you do on the weekends sounds like the interviewer is asking about an earlier chapter in your life that is now closed. For example, “Before you moved to Brazil, what did you do on your weekends?”

when I ask what do you like to do on weekend?
sure we are talking about habits things that some one do again and again. but my point is ,the use of like with expressions of habits. i found that like is always followed by a verb+ing in case like this. in this case should be: what do you like doing on weekends? what do you think about’

What did you like to do on the weekends?

what do you like to do on the weekends?

my question is why you asked what did you like to do on the weekends?
I think the idea is present. so you better ask what do you like…?
Iam in doubt about like ;
I read once a grammer about the use of like + activities and it says when we use like to express activities we use in this way:
subject + like + a verb + ing
in this case the questoin should be
what do you like doing on the weekends?
what do you think about?
