Oi pessoal! O professor Adir gravou recentemente diversos podcasts com os principais contos de fadas (fairy tales). Hoje eu quero propor um desafio, vou publicar aqui somente o áudio de um deles, gostaria que vocês ouvissem e identificassem de que conto se trata. Será um ótimo exercício de compreensão do inglês.

Once upon a time, there lived an unhappy young girl. Unhappy she was, for her mother as dead, her father had married another woman, a widow with two daughters. And her step mother didn’t like her one little bit. All the nice things, kind thoughts and loving touches were for her own daughters. And not just the kind toughts and love, but also dresses, shoes, (…) , delicious food, confy beds, as well as every home confort. All this was laid on for her daughters. But, for the poor, unhappy girl there was nothing at all. No dresses, only her step sisters hand me downs. No lovely dishes, nothing but scraps. No nice rests and confort, for she had to work hard all day. And only when evening came was she allowed to sit a while by the fire, near the cinders . That’s how she got her nickname: CINDERELLA.

I think the correct is: “for her mother WAS dead” and the word Suelen couldn’t understand after “shoes” is SHAWL.
