The problem is not what first pops into your mind when you think of other countries,but is what you might keep cultivating in you imaginary if you don't actually stop to do a critical real thinking about other places around the globe.
I really don't mind people thinking that Brazil is fully covered by forests and etcetera, what gets in my wicket is
having to explain to them that we are not supposed to be judged by our national stereotypes and so is what we shouldn't allow ourselves to do to others as well.
I've already heard that for being a Brazilian I should be tanned , know how to dance samba and prepare a proper feijoada, but I really don't mind, The problem is when some people refuse to open their minds and put their thoughts about stereotypes away.

I second that, ignorance is one thing, stupidity is another.

Back to the topic, yesterday, a client of mine who attends a university near Berlin, in a small city of 40 thousand inhabitants, told me that the classes are conducted in english and the students, from all over the world, only speak english with each other.

On the other hand, the people of the town speak only german and russian, thanks to the old East Germany.

Long story short, there's no way for students to interact with locals.

English language is a tool for globalization, economic globalization and, thanks to the Internet, the globalization of ideas. In my opinion, there's no progress without english or, at least, globish; China is a very good example of that.

Parece que tá na moda agora nas emissoras do pessoal selecionar na redação uma entrevista/comentário bem cômico de alguém na rua pra matar o telespectador de rir no meio de uma notícia séria.

Caraca Dude... só no Brasil mesmo.... . não tem CSI, 24H, Arquivo-X que supere a maior conspiração do mundo que é o Brasil... onde tem dinheiro público, incrível como sempre tem alguém "mais esperto" pra querer lucrar às custas de milhares de pessoas.....
Constróem vias com asfalto porcaria pra sempre quebrar e conseguir a verba pra ir lá consertar... não prendem peixe grande do tráfico pra sempre ter verba pra justificar o número de policiais e armamento pesado, colocam cloro excessivo na água de uma cidade X pra obrigar todo mundo a comprar água mineral de uma empresa X... fora o último absurdo... o governo tá aí pra isso, pouco se lixando pro povo, só quer saber quanta receita vai gerar.

Política é o maior mal da humanidade. E a busca insana pelo poder também... E não é só no Brasil, rsrsrsrs - Basta pegar seu livro de história e ler qualquer artigo e já vai saber a causa - política, jogo de poder.
