Poderiam me ajudar a entender certinho quando usar o blame e quando usar o fault?

Olá Razevedo,

Vou criar alguns exemplos:

1)Blame(Culpa);(Culpar):
a)They put the blame on me.(Eles colocaram a culpa em mim.)
b)The boy always gets the blame.(O menino sempre leva a culpa.)
c)I decided to take the blame for what happened.(Eu decidi assumir a culpa pelo que aconteceu.)
d)Don´t blame me.(Não me culpe.)


2)Fault(Culpa):
a)It´s my fault.(É minha culpa.)
b)It´s not her fault.(Não é culpa dela.)
c)It´s your fault (that)we´re lost.(É culpa sua a gente estar perdido.)

*Não se usa "blame" nos contextos de "fault" e vice-versa.Não diga por exemplo "put the fault on" ou "it´s my blame".

Just adding a bit more, we can think of "fault" in various ways

assuming responsibility: "It's my fault."
being in the wrong: "He is at fault."
a defect: "There's a fault in this process." "A faulty mechanism."
a weakness: "He has his faults."

"If you want to blame someone, blame me. I was at fault."
"The engine problem is due to this faulty generator."

Perhaps the word "falha" is useful.

Veja esses sinônimos:
Blame => acusar, censurar, falta de responsabilidade, reprimir, etc.
Fault => falha, engano, defeito, omissão, etc.
