Como colocar verbos no infinitivo? (Ajuda em prova final)

Para colocar o verbo no infinitivo basta acrescentar o ''to''.
To learn= aprender
To sing= cantar
To do= fazer
you get the idea.....

Vocedeve acrescentar 's ou 'es no verbos com os seguintes pronomes: He,She e It.

Anthony lives in New York. (Antônio mora em Nova Iorque.) Veja que Antonio pode sebstituido por ''he'', por isso deve acrescentar um 's em live

My wife works in a hospital as a nurse. Nessa frase,my wifepode sebstituido por ''she'',por tanto devemos acrescentar 's ao verbo work.

Mas se eu iniciar uma frase assim está correto ?
- things I have to do :
* to work and cleaning the house.

De modo geral acrescente a preposição TO antes do verbo que quer colocar no infinitivo.

Quando outras preposições estiverem antes do verbo, acrescente a terminação ING ao verbo.

Aline, there are things that seems easy to answer, except they don´t.
This is a case in point, I think.

I, for one, would use "things to do" instead of "things I have to do." Why is that? because if I use that expression, one automatically knows that "those are things that I have to do".
A "to do list." = a list of things that I have to do.

So, things (that) I have to do sounds nice to our Brazilian ears, but to natives it´s a bit redundant, they favour shorter sentences, to them it´s more natural. Anyway, I wouldn´t say you are wrong grammatically, just that it´s not the most natural way.

I would use "clean the house." (clean the house is work, and hard work...)

OR then:
-clean the house.
-do chores around house etc...(the "work", the tasks one do around house -if you thought about this kind of "work'')

Of course, you could had thought another thing altogheter, then:

-go to work/the office at 07:00 A.M.
-clean the house (afterwards, perhaps by 02:00 P.M.? after having worked part-time, having come home, had lunch and now having the energy to begin the cleaning.)
-yada yada yada...

Ah, granted...with manuals (a manual -how to- of a Fax, is a case in point.), and with exams (that´s why you landed here, right?). Those would use TO extensively.

I answered the "things I have to do stuff", as an aside question, with the reasoning that you wanted an answer but it wasn´t in the same vein as the initial question.
That is, not to academical purpose, and thinking in a colloquial/informal basis.

No meu achismo, penso que um falante nativa de língua inglesa optaria pelo gerúndio (no início da frase):

- Working etc and cleaning etc.

I don´t, unless I am convinced by someone (I never say never). In general a to-do list (which is equivalent to "things that I have to do") have items in this way:

Example of a to-do list (a check-list goes this way too.)

Tomorrow:
--Go to the park.
--House cleaning. (implicit - do the house-cleaning.)
--Book a day to travel to Florianopolis.
--Hike in the Tijuca Forest.

Now, in the case of one of them (or both) being the subject of the sentence, then you should use it/them in his gerund form:

Cleaning is good to improve housing conditions. (a limpeza é uma coisa benéfica para melhorar a habitabilidade da casa.)

Swimming is a good sport. (a natação é um excelent esporte.)
