All the sentences Donay said are right, but instead of "speak" you could say "talk" too..

"I´ve just talked to my mother.."

I think it would be the best way !!

Com certeza não. "Mão" = "hand".

I believe that the preposition 'with' in this case, is American English; the preposition 'to' is used in British English. Both have the same meaning and are interchangable.
