não sei se está correta, tenho dúvida se uso "we" ou "us". aguardo sugestões.

Oi,

Diria "between you and me". É a forma mais usada tanto falada quanto escrita.
Eg.: Between you and me, I believe his is going to travel back to Brazil this year still.

Acrescentando um outro conhecimento: Se for dizer algo para alguem como uma ligeira fofoca ou algo importante que não pode ser mencionado a terceiros ou ainda algo não concretizado você pode dizer a palavra "unofficially".
Eg1: Unofficially, they have screwed the market lately.
Eg2: Unofficially, they have no idea I know about Mary and the baby.
Eg3: It has been told unofficially that Playstation 4 is coming this fall.

P.S: A abreviatura "Eg" é muito usada nos EUA em livros, documentos etc e significa "Example= exemplo" e vem do termo em Latim "exempli gratia". Quando for pronunciar em inglês americano a palavra Exemplo, diga: "egg"zzample.

Complementando:

just between the two of us = só aqui entre nós dois, cá entre nós.

Segundo as pesquisas de google, parece ser mais usado que a forma simples "just between us", talvez seja porquê o two dá um tom a mais de privacidade.
