Confira a seguir.
  • He fancies himself. [Ele se acha.]
  • She fancies herself. [Ela se acha.]
  • He really fancies himself. [Ele se acha demais.]
  • She really fancies herself. [Ela se acha demais.]
  • You really fancy yourself, don't you?

O "full of yourself" é outra boa opção, comum tanto em American English quanto British English.
  • He's full of himself. [Ele se acha o máximo.]
  • She's so full of herself. [Ela se acha demais.]
  • Don't be so full of yourself. [Não fique se achando tanto.]
Happy studying!

Tipo,
He is so full of himself (Ele se acha)?

Sim, "full of yourself" é outra boa opção, comum tanto em American English quanto British English.
Oi, galera!
A um certo ponto um diz ao outro: "You're so up to yourself" ou "so up yourself", nao me recordo exatamente.

Aguardo, thanks so much!!

Dicas:

Bons estudos.

E sobre "show off", poderia ser também?

Olá Josélia,

O phrasal verb "show off" (usado em American English e British English) é o equivalente ao nosso "exibir-se", "mostrar-se", "querer aparecer".

She likes to show off. (Ela gosta de se exibir.)

Bons estudos.
Please everybody, how can I say ela ''se acha'' in English?

Thanks

Olá Sammy,

She thinks she's all that. (Ela se acha.) [Opção comum em American English]
She really fancies herself. (Ela se acha.) [Mais usado em British English]

Bons estudos.
1. Ressucitando...

To be on an ego trip também é uma opção. :)

2. Enterrando...

Hi there!

She is so conceited.
1 2
Fancies is British usage. In the US we say "He thinks he is..."

Examples:

1) He fancies himself. (Ele se acha.)
2) She fancies herself. (Ela se acha.)

- She is conceited. (standard English)
- He is stuck up. (informal)
- He is full of himself. (aggressive, disparaging in tone)

3) He really fancies himself. (Ele se acha demais.)

- He thinks he's so great.

4) She really fancies herself. (Ela se acha demais.)

- She thinks she's so great.
She's stuck up. ("Nariz empinado")

Mais uma: He thinks he's the cat's whiskers.
Achei massa essa:

Be the cat's whiskers (British & Australian)
To be better than everyone else I thought I was the cat's whiskers in my new dress.

Pode ser: "she is conceited!".

"She thinks her s**t doesn't stink."
Eu diria:

"She's so full of herself!"

Can I say "She thinks she is the one"?
She thinks she is it.

My suggestion: cocky

Bye!
Hi Breckecfeld,

It's interesting that you've mentioned this option "cocky", since it just reminds me of some similar expression named "cock of the walk" or " o rei da cocada preta"

cock of the walk
someone who acts more important than others in a group.
Example: He loved acting cock of the walk and ordering everyone about.

Hope it helps enrich the content of this thread ;)

Tenho uma colega aqui no escritório um pé-no-saco, she really fancies herself!
Ou na boa gíria americana, she thinks she's the sh*t!

*Adding: Como dizer "Metido" em inglês

*Adding a relevant movie quote:

- The boy has exceptional skills.
- But he still has much to learn, Master. His abilities have made him, well, arrogant.
- Yes.
- A flaw more and more common among Jedi.
- Too sure of themselves they are.
- Even the older, more experienced ones.

Ref. en.wikipedia

Some lines of this movie:

- Got him. I got him!
- Great, kid. Don't get cocky.
- You know, sometimes I amaze even myself.

*Adding:

lordly
haughty
lofty = someone who has a lofty manner or attitude behaves in a way that shows they think they are better than other people

*Adding:

To plume yourself on some skill = to show that you are proud of an achievement or a quality you have

*Adding:

Hauteur (oʊ'tɜr)= proud and unfriendly behavior

Como dizer "Metido" em inglês
Como dizer "topetudo" em inglês

*Adding:

To play up - highlight something, ingratiate oneself to; often with insincere behavior

Example:
She played up her part in the new movie, but it was actually a very small role.

*Adding:

Cocksure - very confident in an annoying way

Upstart - a new person in an organization or group who behaves as if they are more important than the people who are already there

What an arrogant little upstart!
You fancy yourself
Você se acha
You really fancy yourself

Recomendo ler as outras sugestões do outros colegas.
