Olá Fe_notavel,
Leia um trecho de um artigo do Reino Unido sobre o assunto:Studying for a degree in languages is more than just a way of improving your language skills.
A language degree is a passport to the culture and way of life of the countries whose language(s) you are studying … and it can lead to a stimulating job!
As well as developing the skills of listening, speaking, reading and writing, a modern language degree will enable you to acquire more advanced skills, such as interpreting, translating, summarising, negotiating, analysing and presenting. These skills are all extremely useful for whichever career you decide to follow. It is important to remember that a language degree is not limited to the sound systems and structure of the language, or the social context in which it exists: it will also broaden your horizons, enriching your understanding of other countries, cultures and people. Being able to communicate with native speakers will help you understand their way of thinking and will give you a sense of freedom and creativity.
