Surferboyx9's "random" is an excellent example of American slang. Use it around young people, if you must. Most older people will not understand you. One problem is that the word has so many different meanings, some sexual. There is a lot of controversy "random". Lots of people hate the word and hate those who use it.

We saw some random movie last night.
The food was random.
