Confira.

1. Connect
  • What happened? Why didn't you kiss Anna? Because we didn't connect. [O que aconteceu? Por que você não beijou a Anna? Porque não rolou um clima entre nós.]
  • John saw they were touching hands. At one point Bill whispered something in her ear, and Mathilde nodded. "They're connecting, " thought John.
  • "Tyrese Gibson gave Whitney Houston the hand when he shut down the dating rumors the legendary singer supposedly started. The two met at a party in Los Angeles earlier this year. According to the questionable National Enquirer, Houston said that the singers have been “quietly dating” ever since they connected [rolou um clima entre eles] at the party. So since the so called interview, Tyrese responded via Twitter." [eurweb.com]
2. Have a moment
  • I thought we were having a moment.
  • Look! They're having a moment. [Olha! Está rolando um clima entre eles.]
3. There is a spark
  • It's obvious there's a spark between them.
  • There was a spark between them. [Rolou um clima entre eles.]
4. Click
  • I met her at the party and we just clicked.
  • Something clicked between us. [Rolou um clima entre nós.]
  • I think they've clicked.

There’s a bit of a thing going between Sílvia and Alberto.

  • "There's a chemistry between" = 291.000 -- hehe, chutei e não é que existe? (tá rolando uma "química"...)
  • "There's something going on between" = 107.000 ocorrências.
See ya,

My suggestion:

When we looked at each other there was a chemistry between us.

Bye!

Hi there!

To have a good thing going

When they looked at each one they had a good thing going

Take care.

Thank you all!

BTW, Flávia, when I googled it, I found "roll a climate" for "rolar um clima", so I gave it up. :-(

Pequena correção.

When they looked at each other...

Once they had looked at each other, there was a certain heat wave engulfing them.

"...and the tension I felt
between the expected and actual
was like that time I came to you, ready
to say goodbye for good, for you had been
a cold front yourself lately, and as I walked in
you laughed and lifted me up in your arms..."

Regards

They had a thing going...
Ou
There was something in the air... (between them)
