Cara 1: Ei Roberto, você tá estudando pouco inglês, não vai ir bem na prova!
Cara 2: Se liga, eu já sei a matéria, não preciso estudar.

Cara 1: Tem que ir bem nas provas pra passar de ano!
Cara 2: Tô ligado, tô na oitava série, sei como é.

Cara 1: Ops! Desculpe por esbarrar em você, foi sem querer.
Cara 2: Dá nada, tá de boa.


Talvez os exemplos não estejam dos melhores, mas acho que deu pra entender!

Donay, eu quero uma coisa mais informal.

Uma vez ouvi nos simpsons o Homer dizer "lay off" como se ele estivesse dizendo "se liga".
Alguém falou "What about the fat guy?"
Homer - "Hey, lay off. You're the fat one of you guys!"

Tem algumas expressões mais ou menos assim?

Na verdade existem inumeras possibilidaes ainda mais quando se trata de girias.Vou dar uma olhada aqui nos meus arquivos.Os seus dialogos sao bem interessantes muita gente vai achar gostar de ver como ficou em Ingles.

As donay said before, there r countless possibilities in the slang field and yeah, their supposed to change from place to place and even inside the same country there'd be variations e.g there r slangs in Philly that ppl in LA r unaware of or simply dont use and vice versa. Anywayz, i hope i could help...

PS. U said Homer said "lay off" and it was turned as "se liga"... that's just one more of the several possibilities. U could also say, "get up off my nuts" (qndo alguém está enchendo seu saco como é o caso do cara 1 falando pro cara 2 q ele precisa estudar pra ir bem na prova).

Get a grip!, justamente neste sentido de Se liga!

Será que "lay off" também poderia ser traduzido como "dá um tempo", "para com isso" ou "corta essa" além de "Sê liga!"?
Talvez(lol, nem sei se faria sentido ele dizer aquilo, mas..) também o "hey, lay off" poderia estar se referindo ao Homer falando para os "bullies" entregarem o pote ou o que quer que fosse que eles tinham nas mãos, tipo, "me passa isso aqui", algo assim, bom, baseio minhas interpretações de acordo com o contexto (não vi o vídeo):

"The three bullies (Kearny, Dolph and Jimbo) are plotting to do something terroristic with a deceased yogurt. Milhouse, an undercover agent for the Counter Truancy Unit, is lurking outside the Kwik-E-Mart, surveilling them from behind a newspaper. Homer strolls by.

Homer: Hey Millhouse! Who ya spyin' on? Those bullies?
Kearny: What about the fat guy?
Homer: Hey, lay off! You're the fat one of you guys!"
