It would be easier if said literally:
You go cry in bed that is a warmer place.

Or next to it:
Go complain with the bishop.

Or a slang term:
So, sue me.

A way of saying “there is nothing you can do about it”.

And "whether you like it or not" would work in similar ways:

Even closer to "o choro é livre" (que por sua vez pode em alguns casos ser equivalente a "vá chorar na cama que é lugar quente..." when it comes in the beggining of the sentence, so:
Whether you like it or not, Terry IS Chelsea. He has every right to be there, in his kit, or whatever else he wants to wear, lifting successive European trophies for the west London club.


O choro é livre/não há o que possa fazer/queira ou não, Terry é do Chelsea...

It´s more on the "it´s no use crying of spilt whiskey" side, though.
