I was looking on internet, trying to find some terms too and I found this: "sofa spud"
Is this also used by american people?

Nicole, I have not heard the expression. However, "spud" is slang for "potato", and "sofa" in another way to say "couch". ("Tater" is a country way of saying "potato".)
