Ontem eu li: what faculty are you in?
Obrigado.

In addition:
FACULTY in English is not the same as FACULDADE in Portuguese.
If you are a professor (university, college, high school, elementary school, etc.), you are a member of the faculty (or you are a faculty member).
If you take classes in the Faculdade de Engenheria, you a student in the School of Engineering, the College of Engineering, the Engineering Department, etc. (Different universities use different terms.)
Faculty = professors and instructors
Faculdade = classes, courses, etc.

A primeira é "what did you graduate in?" e a outra é "what is your degree in?".
John: What did you graduate in? [Você é formado em quê?]
Mike: In Law/I graduated in Law [Em direito / Eu sou formado em direito.]
Pelo que tenho observado, a opção "what did you graduate in?" não é muito comum nos EUA, onde preferem "what is your degree in?"
Bons estudos!

Also, "What was your major?" or "What did you major in?"

"a degree in" ou "majored in" ?

To make a question Thomas gave the best possible answer. When we make "W-questions'' (what/why/when/where etc...) we use Do/Does after the W-particle.

And that discussion was not about how to make that question, it was how to answer that question. It´s the other way.
