Para dizer xará em inglês basta usar a palavra namesake.

Confira abaixo alguns exemplos:

A dica do Alessandro serve também para nos mostrar que o termo namesake é muitas vezes deixado de lado por alguns native speakers.Nesse caso,sem querer generalizar,podemos fazer a seguinte construção:

Ex:We´ve got the same names,that´s kind of funny!(Temos os mesmos nomes,é meio engraçado,estranho.)

O termo namesake fica reservado para a linguagem mais formal.

In the USA, the word "namesake" is very rarely used. I doubt if more than two or three people out of ten knows what it means. Instead of saying "namesake", we say:

You have the same first name.
He has the same name you do.
He is another Frank.

If you go to Google, forget the number of hits and read the entries instead. Most seem to deal with a book, business, etc. You will find few entries that say something like "John's namesake..." or "Mary is the namesake of Liz..."

Complementando:

"namesake" é um substantivo: "Oh, is her name Flávia? So I'm her namesake."

Como o uso não é muito comum, como já dito pelos colegas, foi dada a opção de substituir por uma frase de mesmo significado "We have the same first name", "I have the same name she does",etc.

Não se pode dizer que "same name" é tradução de "xará", mas sim que as frases devem ser adaptadas para passarem o mesmo sentido.
