Hi folks

The way to a better country...


People often tend to be pessimistic about life in our country,they say that Brazil will never be as good as England,Italy,France,Canada and so on.These days,we can judge things more knowledgeably and talk about our ups and downs as a democratic country which has tried its best to maintain all of its achievements and progress.If every citizen did their bit to improve and change things,the road to "heaven" would definitely be shorter.If we tried hard enough not to make the same mistakes(accidents,scandals,diseases,crimes,failures...),instead of just saying:"My country is a mess",it´ll never ever change,politicians are no good...Brazil would be much better than it is right now.I am a brazilian who had to wait for almost five years for the Italian government to grant my family Italian citizenship as my Great grandfather was originally from Italy.In spite of having the same rights as an Italian,I do believe that Brazil is the best place in the world,it has the nicest people,the funniest commedians,the prettiest women,the most skilled athletes,and the best prospects of all.In my opinion,we just have to never give up trying to make it our home sweet home,the Brazilian dream will definitely come true if Brazilians make it their ULTIMATE GOAL.

Hi Donay,

Aproveitando o titulo "treinando a leitura" qual a dica para melhorar a leitura? Eu tenho muita dificuldade em ler em voz alta.
É um desastre quando estou lendo algo em ingles em voz alta.. me sinto um analfabeto sei la..falta entonação.. e ate hoje nunca achei uma metodologia que consiga evoluir nesse ponto....

nao sei :S

O que recomenda?

Olá Camilo,
Você pode, ao inciar a leitura de um texto, ler sem tentar entender pequenos detalhes,depois leia visando um entendimento mais completo,em seguida tente entender as expressões,verbos frasais,gírias e tente usar um dicionário(www.longman.com),depois escolha o vocabulário que mais te interessou e crie frases que tem a ver com o seu dia a dia.Quanto a entonação e qualidade da sua pronúncia ao ler,elas melhoram com o tempo e PRINCIPALMENTE depois que você ouvir nativos falando o máximo possível.Ouvir é fundamental para isso vá até: www.youtube.com(digite: interviews")

Hello! donay,

Thanks! por sua opiniao! quando o texto é pequeno eu consigo ler tranquilo, mas quando pego textos maiores como materia de uma revista.. ler fica dificil no sentindo mais de entonação.. agora ler e entender, depender do nivel consigo fazer isso sem dificuldade.. e as vezes nem preciso do dicionario uso o OXFORD, leio textos direto da CNN e Nytimes agora assinei a newsweek.
Porem minha dificuldade está em ler para o colega ao lado.. tipo se vc me dar um texto para ler em voz alta para uma sala.. acredito que vc nao venha compreender o texto ja que vou ler com dificuldades paradas.. etc.. agora se vc me dar o texto para eu ler e depois discutir a respeito do que entendi isso faço tranquilamente.. e sem dificuldades caso o texto esteja de acordo com o nivel.

Mas obrigado por suas dicas essa do youtube nao conhecia..
