Would you respond, "See what I found when I googled both words" or "... these words"?

Can you please provide a brief rationale on how "both" differs from "these"?

Eu diria que "both" refere-se, mais comumente, às duas palavras ao mesmo tempo, que a busca foi simultânea com as duas. "These" seria mais adequado, na minha opinião, já que oferece a possibilidade, mais comumente falando, de terem sido pesquisadas separadamente. Outra opção seria: See what I found when I googled them.

donay, thank you for going to the trouble of expounding on it. I will therefore pay special attention to usage as refers to both and these next time. May extend it to those.
