Do tópico relacionado entendo que tio-avô seria great uncle. Então por analogia sobrinho-neto seria great nephew?
Fiquei em dúvida quanto a grafia, pois pesquisando algumas fontes, encontrei great aunt e grat uncle com hifén e em outras sem. As 2 formas são aceitas?

Anna, I would use either "grandnephew" or "great-nephew".
Well, if I went wrong, at least I was in good company!
It´s not everyday that one can go wrong togheter with Webster´s, a very wise guy!

Well, on second thought, even if grammatically correct "granduncle" is usually found as "grand uncle", so no one would sue somebody else for spelling so.
Great-uncle seems more (statistically) favored (over grand uncle - or granduncle, for that matter), and some people would write great uncle, not good grammar, but you can find it just the same.

Thanks for the references. So I can see there are 2 ways of saying that and many ways of writing them. LOL
