Today I'd like to share with you an excellent link with a lot of recommended reads divided by topics, books ,guided readers (books with simplified text for English learners), magazines , newspapers and blogs , so you can choice the reads with fit better in your likes and English level.

In addition to the above list, I am going to recommend the "Penguin 60s classics", published by Penguin Books.
It´s similar to the Brazilian collection "o que é..." generally used by college students, the one I can remember some titles like "O que é democracia", "o que é mais-valia" etc...

So, some of the mini-books I have read these days, and in a sitting:

-Reflections On the Fall of Rome. By Edward Gibbon.
-The Man that Corrupted Hadleyburg. By Mark Twain.
-Confessions of a Sinner. By Saint Augustine.
-The Rage of Achilles. By Homer.



I got them in a second-hand book store, and my opinion is that they are easily understandable by any reader; aren´t destined to children, but all other readers can enjoy them. I regard them a good read.
