Whats the meaning of the phrase/expression: " large white bass" , in this following context:
She thought that it was the wind echoing through one of the caves and was about to leave when she noticed silvery shapes on the floor of the cove. The shapes moved and she saw that it was a school of large white bass, each one as big as she was.

Hello Thiago.
If so, the sentence would be something like: um cardume de grandes robalos brancos.
See ya!
Are you sure that it is school and not shoal? Because white bass is a fish and shoal means cardume in Portuguese, so it would make more sense, don't you think?...a school of large white bass...

A school of large white bass = Um cardume de grandes robalos brancos.
Eu não estou certa da equivalência entre "white bass" e "robalo", mas sugeri o termo usando como base o nome científico.

P.s.: Marcos, me desculpe. Postamos juntos. "School" é uma daquelas palavras como "grave", onde duas etimologias distintas se fundem em um único termo.
