Pensei em criar este tópico para auxiliar os militares na tradução de algumas nomenclaturas específica das Forças Armadas, já que não existe muito material como este disponível na internet. Algumas expressões militares podem ser traduzidas com o conhecimento geral de Inglês, outras são completamente diferentes.
Apesar do tópico ser direcionado a militares, convido todos os membros da comunidade a adicionarem novas palavras e dicas.

I think everything that takes the word mess in the military have to do the kitchen installations or the food, it can be a place to relax as well, but I don´t know if it could be in the aception of "alojamento".
"Alojamento", unless I am mistaken, would depend on what someone means, generally speaking it could be "quarters"
As in:

http://www.military.com/money/pcs-dity- ... -base.html
Unaccompanied Housing Quarters
Single junior-enlisted servicemembers are required to live in barracks, where they share a room with at least one other person and with a communal bathroom and a telephone down the hall. About half a million single servicemembers live in these quarters, which are often substandard, inadequately maintained, or obsolete.

Hence, "Officer's quarters" would do, to my thinking.

On the other hand, there is the living/sleeping quarters (you could say also "accomodation" as you can see here:

Paulo, I read everything you posted, also the linked pages.

I'd like to point out some things:

The vocabulary is related to the British Army.

I have no reference to mention because this vocabulary comes from friends that have lived in the UK.

Even on web pages and magazines written for the military, they don't use the proper vocabulary, I mean these kind of stuff is written for the military not by them.

For sure there are different ways to say the same thing, one example is the BALISTIC VEST, in the army they say: FLAK JACKET.

I tried to be as natural as possible in my word choice.

Another example is FLASHLIGHT, in the army they say: TORCH.

The same thing happens in Brazil, the general public use the word TANQUE, to describe an armored vehicle, in the army we say: BLINDADO, you will never see a real brazilian soldier call an armored vehicle as "TANQUE".

But anyway, thanks for your comment. :)

That´s right, that´s not much on the military lingo these days. And you have a point, most of what we have isn´t written by the military people themselves, but knowledge gained from third parties.

Not even military sites, anyway there are some of them, like the http://www.militaryphotos.net and a few others.

Military photos has some threads of Brazil, the site is about equipments, police, the military, military or police operation etc.

Por favor, como se diz "Fora de forma!" em Inglês.
Por acaso seria Out of ranks! Get off ranks! Release ranks!
Gostaria da expressão militar mesmo e não 'Out of shape'
Por não estar em boa forma física.

In Brazil, officer candidate is a rank given to the special rank, before achieving the officership in the initial rank of junior officers. It is a rank above the enlisted grade or military graduates - who are the cadets and student officers - and below the second lieutenant.

In the United States Air Force, officer candidates are known as officer trainees (OT).

The NATO rank code for the British Royal Navy rank is OF-1 (senior). In the Royal Navy (RN) the rank of sub-lieutenant is equivalent to the rank of lieutenant in the British Army and of flying officer in the Royal Air Force (RAF).

>> pilot. [Air Force].

first officer [Abbreviation: FO] [aviation]
co-pilot
>> primeiro oficial [termo formal].

Note: The word sub-commander is archaic and not applicable for military ranks.

Some terrorist organizations use that word in their ranks.

In Portuguese spoken countries, the word subcomandante means (1) the one who reports directly to the commander-in-chief or (2) an officer who has the function of advising the commander and replacing him / her if necessary. In Brazil, subcomandante is a rank in the Navy and in the Air Force.

Second lieutenant is a junior commissioned officer military rank in many armed forces, comparable to NATO OF-1a rank. In some western countries, like the USA and Canada, the Air Force requires from pilots the rank of at least second lieutenant. If someone wants to be a pilot, the candidate have to be an officer first, which means he or she must have a bachelor's degree, preferably in Science and an overall GPA of at least 3.4. Prior flight school training is also a plus.

In aviation, the first officer (FO) is the second pilot (also referred to as the co-pilot) of an aircraft. The first officer is second-in-command of the aircraft to the captain, who is the legal commander. In the event of incapacitation of the captain, the first officer will assume command of the aircraft. The captain is formally known as pilot in command (PIC) and is the person aboard the aircraft who is ultimately responsible for its operation and safety during flight.

interest in something.
[expression]
>> O interesse em / por algo.

Ex.: The interest in (the) service made the Army transfer him to Prefeitura Militar de Brasília (PMB) in 2008.
The interest in (the) service made the Army transfer him to Brasília military city (PMB) in 2008.
The interest in (the) service made the Army transfer him to the military city of Brasília (PMB) in 2008.
>> O interesse pelo serviço fez com que o Exército o transferisse para a Prefeitura Militar de Brasília (PMB) em 2008.

Note: We do not translate proper nouns. Brasília is the federal capital of Brazil. At least, we can try to explain in English what a prefeitura militar is using the terms military town or city. In English spoken countries, the word city is often used for large places. For small ones, we must use town. In some states, a town is defined by the structure of governance while, in some other states, it is the size of the population.

Here's another one, for history purposes: "anspeçada".
Linguee.com.br translates it for both US and UK as "lance corporal", described as: a military rank, used by many armed forces worldwide, and also by some police forces and other uniformed organizations.
Wikipedia (PT) adds : Normalmente corresponde a um posto imediatamente inferior ao de cabo, sendo, tipicamente, a primeira graduação militar. Normalmente corresponde à graduação de nível OR-3 da OTAN. (...)
Até final do século XIX era como se designava o posto de "segundo cabo". Na Marinha, a graduação correspondente é designada "primeiro-grumete". Na GNR não existe uma graduação correspondente.

Also, from dicionariotecnico.com:
