Country x Countryside - Qual a diferença?

Plus, "country" be translated into "país" or "zona rural" context wise, the same wouldn't be true to "countryside".

Cf. Country: Como saber se significa "país" ou "campo"

Tirando a tradução de country = país, vejamos os exemplos

"Country is a place outside towns or cities with fields, woods, farms"

We spent a pleasant day in the country.

"Countryside:
Land outside towns and cities, with fields, woods, etc"
The surrounding countryside is windswept and rocky.
Magnificent views over open countryside.
Everyone should enjoy the right of access to the countryside.

"Countryside is usually used when you are talking about the beauty or peacefulness of a country area: a little village in the French countryside".
source Oxford Dictionary

Countryside is that kind of word you can use in descriptions, com um significado generalizado de "interior" enquanto que country seria mais "zona rural ou uma área em particular fora região mais urbanizada", este é uma definição minha Ok. If it is incorrect sorry, my mistake...
Taking into account my last example from Oxford Dictionary I'd say Countryside is to generalize places outside the city.

Gosto de pensar em countryside, assim como no caso de seaside = litoral. Generalizando interior.
Ok. Obrigado a vocês pelas respostas.

Porém a minha dúvida permanece. Eu entendi a distinção que vocês desenharam entre as palavras. Mas de acordo com o Cambridge dictionary, as palavras são sinônimas, ele traz definições quase idênticas para os termos (ver dictionary.cambridge e dictionary.cambridge)

As if It weren't enough. O the free dictionary explicitamente define countryside como "rural area" e na parte inferior da página, poderão ver que o dicionário explicitamente legenda ambos os termos como sinônimos.

Tendo isto em vista, que pode-se dizer?

Agradeço novamente,

Let's try another way.

1. Country [political unity]
an area of land that forms an independent political unit with its own government..., a nation considered especially as a place. PAÍS.

2. A) Country [natural land] CAMPO.
Land that is not in towns or cities, or industrial areas and is either used for farm or left in its natural condition.
2. B) Countryside ZONA RURAL.
Land that is not in towns or cities, or industrial areas and is either used for farm or left in its natural condition.

That is, country and countryside have a kind of intersection, and they can be in certain cases be used interchangeably, just like in Portuguese (I mean, "o campo" e "zona rural"). Some places can be described by both words.
