Música: When I Was Your Man - Bruno Mars

Galera, meu primeiro tópico aqui no forúm e estou com uma dúvida que não sai.

Na parte "Our song on the radio, but it don't sound the same" ele usa "don't" após o "it", o correto não seria "doesn't"? Com certeza não, mas gostaria de saber o porquê do uso.

Hello Lucas,

Yes, it should be 'doesn't' instead of 'don't'. However when it comes to music such rules can be ignored or distorted for the sake of musicality.

A piece of advice: Avoid studying grammar using songs.

See ya!

Totally agree!

There's a famous hit (60s hit) The Police I guess "every little thing she does is magic"
He sings: "everything she do just turns me on"

Marcos said it all.
Here's another example, the popular song by Akon: (who, by the way, didn't like grammar ;D)

"Nobody wanna see us together
but it don't matter no."
Hi guys, everytime I hear this song I always listen the correct grammar.

" our song on the radio, but it doesn't sound the same"

Believe me, I've listened this song a thousand times.
