Como estudar nas Férias?

Bom dia a todos do EE!

Happy New Year! :D :D :D :D :D

Boa viagem e bons estudos. Happy New Year.

In-between errands to buy things to our house, pay bills, keep tabs on the children (not to stay out and come home that late...), and plenty of unnanouced things to solve, I come here, I read my novels, I take my textbooks.
It´s a time we take advantage of all time that is left on our hands, if any, but we have to keep a balance. At times we have to make a "stop-and-go'', no point on leaving family and good things (fun) behind.
HI PEOPLES.

Obrigado Julio e PPaulo pelas dicas!

Abs!
Obrigado pandoraysha...o caminho é esse mesmo!

You are welcome! And yes, it´s a funny way to learn English Pandora, since you force youself to recall some English words.
Since you are being promoted to the intermediary level, I would also advice you to scatter some idioms in-between, say, "preciso me apressar/preciso apertar o passo" (I need to quicken my step) senão não vou chegar lá! (or else I won´t make it!).
It´s not something to "right now" but in the long run.

Yup, Reginaldo. One good way to be in contact with the language is to watch movies, read a magazine (I always advice Speak Up, but it can be The Economist - that is online as well.)
And for example, you can make a grocery list with the name of the items in English, or download them.

If you go to the garage, to repair the car you can think of car parts in English

Food is another thing that may help you to recall words in English

The sky´s the limit, believe me.

Obviously, you shouldn´t to ask the guy next street corner for a "hot-dog" (it´s easier a "cachorro-quente", albeit this a well-known word) or for a sunny-side up (a kind of fried eggs). What I am saying is that you can think in English, by recalling how to say things in English.
Other way would be to make a holiday diary, something that you can at the end of the day. There are plenty of things to do, and even do nothing if you wish...
Ah, and when you are thirsty for English you may come to the English Experts! ;)

You are welcome Ana. Now I got moved by your grateful and kind words.
Glad that it somehow helped you in your with English. By the way, you made a huge improvement, if you compare the "then and now" (I mean, "then" - when your first posts began to arrive at the site).
But then, you were a rough diamond, that is, a diamond just the same, sooner or later would turn into a polished one.
Congrats on your efforts!
