Hello,
Poderíamos usar "Chelsea feels the thud after losing the title and ends in a draw against Newcastle." ?
Is that correct?
Thanks in advance.

Not a natural way, I am afraid. A thud usually would be a "baque seco/som seco de uma queda". When something heavy falls, or something hollow of sorts (a body, a head), or still something solid that hits (sometimes awkwardly) a softer surface. Or vice-versa.

Jaehyo yelps, drops the camera, feels the thud as the neck strap catches it. “What the hell – what am I meant to photograph now?!
Nephoros feels the thud of the fall and all the air escapes his lungs.
