Queria saber se posso usar o gotten para dizer 'ficado' em contextos como estes:
Eu devo ter ficado louco - I must have gotten crazy
Se você tivesse estudado duro você não teria ficado atrás dos seus amigos - If you had studied harder you would not have gotten behind your friends

you could also use: I must have GONE crazy/mad (=eu devo ter enloquecido)

Mas por que have gone crazy é traduzido como ter ficado se você esta usando o verbo to go ?
Se for traduzir ao pé da letra seria '' você deve ter ido louco''

acho que o gotten , como ele deu exemplo, seja de ter pegado, ficado.
Exemplo: I must have got the flu. = Devo ter ficado pegado gripe I've gotten high = Fiquei chapado
Não tem o sentido de ter ficado, no caso de "gone", mas sim de ter ido.
Se você usasse: I've got crazy/mad= Eu fiquei louco/maluco enquanto (o verbo got tem sentido de ficar)
I've gone mad = Eu enloqueci ou Eu fui à loucura (o verbo go nesse caso tem sentido de ir)
acho que a duvida possa ser sanada pelos outros caso persista
