The second sentence could be changed as follows:

NYC is so beautiful and seems to be a fun place. Lucky (one) who can closely see its beauty (or "who can see its beauty closely).

Note: never use "to" with a modal: to can

We don’t use funny to mean ‘enjoyable’:

Agreed, some dictionaries don´t agree and others do. The usage of it as an adjetive is catching on these days.
