Dizem que trio de arbitragem e goleiro não se pode elogiar antes do término do jogo, senão quem elogia queima a língua.

Ex.: O bandeirinha tem uma excelente atuação, acertando tudo. Foi só falar e ele marca um impedimento inexistente. É... não se pode elogiar.

My educated guesses are (and certainly there are plenty of other ways to say that):

To the judge/referee
You just praise the guy and he gets it wrong! calling this/that an offside!
You think the guy is refereeing so well, and bam! he calls an offside that is not an offside!
...and now this! he calls this offside that isn´t.
