Live to the point of tears - Tradução em português

Aspecto gramatical > "Live to the point of tears" seria o mesmo que ''Living to the point of making him cry" ? Ou "Live up to tears" também serve?

"To the point of" and "to the point" are distinct notions.
I think he meant, live to a degree that you fell like crying (of joyness/happiness, etc); to that end, one shall live quite intensely, or be rather grateful, etc...
It worked as an intensifier of his analysis on how to live, it makes his commentary/advice stronger.

Examples from the web:
-The only aspect he tended to meticulously, almost to a point of obssession was his beard.
(he tended to meticulously to his beard, to an extent that it verged on obssession)

-A person who is very passioned about something, almost to a point of obssession.
