Anyway, the question has to be seen within the context, it could be simply that the person that answered the question What do I call the worst day of my life? was referring to some episode of "Rubbed Raw and Reeling.", or that saying that the worst day was one in which he/she stayed at home (maybe grounded) watching the show, or something in the show happened to him/her.

Só passando pra apontar que no caso de "rubbed raw and reeling" o "reeling" tem uma certa precedência ali. Minha resposta prévia foi exclusivamente em função da última pergunta. "Rubbed raw and reeling" é uma expressão conhecida e que tem a ver com sentimentos/emoções.
