Sobre Embedding clauses
Hi people
I need your help! I am doing an essay for the college about embedding clauses. However, I am not finding grammars speaking about it. Do you can indicate me some grammar speaking about this subject? I need of content and to cite the source in the essay.
Thanks.

Hi Edwards,
Have you tried searching "embedded clauses" on google? You should find several, example:
http://www.asha.org/uploadedFiles/asha/ ... joined.pdf

Cheers

COMO COMBINAR PALAVRAS EM INGLÊS
"Embedded clauses" = orações dependentes, secundárias (não principais) ou subordinativas.
Temos uma no exemplo abaixo:
The coat, which was old, had a hole in the pocket. (which was old <- embedded clause)
Exemplo esse que podemos simplificar conforme abaixo:
"The old coat had a hole..." eliminando, assim, a "embedded clause".
Talvez alguém mais no fórum possa dar maiores explicações e exemplos.

As far as grammar goes, "Do you can indicate..." should have read "Can you indicate...?"
