Correção: Bolivia arrests LaMia airline boss
The head of the airline involved in an airplane crash that killed 71 people including a football team from Chapecó Sc Brazil has been arrested by the authorities in Bolivia. The plane was taking the team to Colombia when it ran out of fuel. Chapecoense were traveling to the city of Medellin to play the first leg Sudamericana Cup final against Atletico Nacional. A Bolivian official says she had warned the pilot of the problem before departure. Six people survived the tragedy and none of them heard a warning that the plane was facing an electrical or fuel problems. The official, Celia Castedo, is seeking asylum in Brazil. She claims she is facing threats and abuse. Her asylum process could take a year to be processed. Bolivian Government Minister Carlos Romero urged the Brazilian authorities to turn her back. "What she has done is very serious," he said. "It's a way of escaping the judicial system." This awful tragedy is one of so many that happens out there due to the irresponsibility of some people. If everything was scrutinized before the departure it would never had happened.
