Como dizer "Pérola" em inglês
By "pérola" I mean those sentences that are really funny. Sometimes they are also called "máximas".
For instance:
"Meu amigo soltou uma pérola. Ele disse que ..."
Thanks in advance

By a "pérola" I understand phrases, unconventional words, phrases, pronunciations, malapropisms, and semantic or linguistic errors, especially those resulting usually from stupidity, ignorance, mental confusion, or carelessness, made by an assortment of Vestibular students who literally or non-literally missed the point on their assignment dissertation exams.
Should we call it a word blunder? No?

Seria possível dizer ''Look at his page on the facebook right away, he's dropping some pearls there''
Estaria correto?
