Hello!!!

Minha pergunta é sobre um termo mais específico na área de saúde.
Bed-side teaching é quando um estudante ou um grupo de estudantes acompanha um paciente
no hospital em algum tipo de procedimento ou tratamento, tendo um professor com eles para
explicar algo, dialogar sobre a doença do paciente e etc.
Eu gostaria de saber se alguém conhece esse termo em português.
Já procurei em vários sites e ainda não encontrei =(

Eu achei, ensino à-beira-do-leito. Não sei se foi inventado ou se realmente existe esse termo em Português, mas vi o termo em vários artigos.

Acredito que há uma tendência de se dizer "aulas com pacientes", em uma linguagem menos formal.

You seem to talking about "rounds". Students follow a doctor (or doctors) from patient to patient, discussing symptoms, medicatons, progress, etc.

Based on ward rounds taken by the author with many generations of medical students through the years, this book consists of 12 of the most common medical problems which student and doctor are likely to encounter. It involves a dialogue between the consultant, the student and often the patient as well. In ward rounds the main emphasis is on the value and importance of the basic clinical skills, especially history-taking, since a well-taken history is most likely to give the diagnosis in the great majority of common medical problems. Appropriate investigations are also discussed, and their value as well as their limitations are pointed out. The dialogues presented in this book should not only help students to pass examinations in clinical medicine, but also prepare them to deal with the many medical problems which will be encountered in real-life clinical practice. This book should be of interest to medical students.

Ward Round is when the hospital staff take turns to look after inpatients, at least in England...
The term I really need to get translated is "bed-side teaching" =(

Gabi, my son is a medical student and "rounds" is the term he uses. Check with an English doctor/student, and get his/her input.

I do consider your input Thomas. Thanks a lot for helping out anyways
but I would like to point out that it's really not the same term used in England...which is not a problem at all
What I really need is tofind out what term is in Portuguese.
But to be honest I'm kind of giving up...after all I really don't think there's any direct term in Portuguese for that.

Everyone thinks I am in a bad mood today. Everyone thinks I am pissed off about something. I plan on requesting a full refund from the charm school I have been attending.

"Rounds" in Spanish is "rotaciones". Does that help? If the correct word is important to you, I would ask a Brazilian doctor/medical student.
