Tem coisas que tem apostrofo e nao entendo tipo a musica do red hot chili peppers "road tripin' "

Esse apostrofo no final da palavra eu queria saber pra que ele ta ai.

Olá, Luca!

O apóstrofo, nesse caso, é usado para omitir alguma letra, que geralmente não se pronuncia no Inglês falado:

"The guys were playin' baseball." (instead of "playing")
"O' course!" (instead of "Of")

No Inglês Literário antigo, também usava-se:
o'er = over [às vezes ainda usado]
e'en = even

Sim, você pode usar isso em todos os verbos no gerúndio, ou seja, terminados em "-ing".

Assisti ao filme "O Livro de Eli", e logo nos primeiros segundos me surgiu a dúvida, qual a diferença entre:

The Book of Eli(utilizado no filme) e The Eli's Book?

O primeiro me parece mais formal, mas ambos parecem certos, quando uso um e quanto o outro?

Eli's Book and The Book of Eli are both 'correct' but The Book of Eli sounds cooler ; )

As far as the apostrophe, technically you can use it for all words that end with 'ing', but I don't know why you would want to. Most of the time you write it with the apostrophe to add style and make the reader 'hear' the word. If you are writing informally, like chatting with a friend on the internet, you don't really need the apostrophe at all... "What time are you goin to work?" or "I'm havin a party at my house later". In formal writing you should use 'ing' and only use the apostrophe for stylistic reasons.
