Gostaria de saber uma expressão equivalente em inglês ao termo "vai tarde" ou "já vai tarde", insinuando que a presença da pessoa era indesejada.

De uma forma geral, podemos dizer: (And) about time too!
She said she's leaving tomorrow. About time too!
Esta expressão é usada quando se quer dizer que algo já deveria ter acontecido há muito tempo, antes do que aconteceu.

It was not the google's suggestion.
It's often used in the phrase good riddance especially to express relief that someone or something has gone.

Yep, good riddance also mean "já vai tarde/que alívio/bons ventos o levem.
