Significado de "This is fuking temporary, like we signed..."

Estou estudando em cima desse vídeo e a tradução não ajuda muito, alguém sabe me dizer o que realmente ele quer dizer com essa frase.

This is fuking temporary, like we signed up for a lifetime in real estate?

Entendi que ele fala: Essa "palavrão" é temporária... Depois não entendi mais nada.

Frase esta com 1:20 do video.

Obrigado.

I don´t really catch what he is saying, but I think he said the name of the other guy.
From the context, the f-word doesn´t intend anything sexual, offense or swearing. No, he means somehow an exclamation of emotion, a sign of mild distress or dismissing what the other said as an "universal truth".
So, the translation is right "é só temporário" (é só uma situação temporária). It´s something similar to what happens back in Brazil, some people would say "essa p**ra é verdade?" while they could say just "é verdade (ou não)?".
To many, the f-word is deemed as vulgar, to others it is a completely normal way of speaking... Mostly in the States, in British neck of the woods, I think the usage would be vulgar, more often than not.

Another way to see that (and translate as well) is to think the guy was retorting, by saying "você sabe muito bem que é só temporário" (que a situação é só temporária.)

In this specific case I think it means "to pursue career in real state"
"Sign up" could be both, meaning "taking into an organization" or "joining (affiliate) with an organization."

See a similar approach, from the headlines "Military spouses, Retirees Sign Up For Real State Careers.

like we signed up for a lifetime in real estate?
In Portuguese, by my loose translation could be, "é como se entrássemos na carreira imobiliária para sempre/pelo resto da vida/por toda uma vida." (carreira de negócios imobiliários - ou coisa assim.)

After you have read this post, you can give the site Linguee a stab with the keywords "real state".
