"Would rather"=Preferir,preferiria.

1)I would rather put it off=I´d rather put it off.(Eu prefiro adiar.)
2)I´d rather hire someone.(Eu prefiro contratar alguém.)
3)Would you rather get changed?(Você prefere se trocar?)
4)We´d rather not talk about it.( A gente prefere não falar sobre isto.)


"Had better"=É melhor,seria melhor.
1)You had better go=You´d better go.(É melhor você ir.)
2)We´d better stop by the pharmacy.(É melhor a gente dar uma passada na farmacia.)
3)I think I´d better see it later.(Eu acho melhor eu ver isto mais tarde.)
4)They´d better quit drinking.(É melhor eles pararem de beber.)
