A mania de um tradutor

A mania dum tradutor:http://screencast.com/t/SjaEjIis
Trata-se dum utilitário que adoro para ter traduções na ponta do dedo - o Qtranslate - mas desta vez tive que lhe forçar a escrita pois ele recusava-se a traduzir uma frase de negação..

Haverá alguma explicação para o comportamento?

Bug. (I mean to his behavior, not yours!)
Have you tried other sentences with the word "não"?
Perhaps some setting? (configuração).

It´s a fact that that I noticed that some translators, like the Power Translator, that they make very good translations from other languages to English, and vice-versa. But not from Portuguese.
My way to get better translations were to translate from Portuguese to Spanish, Italian, and French and get an average meaning.
Perhaps that same "não" in Spanish would do the trick!

Sometimes they just don´t bother to do a good job, Brazil is not a rich country (in average, of course there are rich guys out there, I am talking about its population in general.) So why to worry about it? it´s what they think.

Sometime ago I heard an story that the Calculus I and II (by Munem and Foulis), never was translated into Portuguese by the publisher. So some student Engineers (rumour has it that were 12 of them) at ITA translated it (and of course they got the publisher endorsement and some translation rights).
If that is true, is a good indication as they were not interested into our market (not profitable enough), so why would we expect dictionaries to be any different? :?
