Any x Some: Qual utilizar

Tanto "any" quanto "some" estão corretos.Veja:

There aren't any keys here.(Não tem nehuma chave aqui.)
There are some keys here.(Tem algumas chaves aqui.)

Mais:
Are there any keys here?(Tem alguma chave aqui?)

Resumo:
"Any" em negativas=Nenhum(a)
"Any" em interrogativas=Algum(a)
"Any" em afirmativas=Qualquer

"Some"="Algum";"Alguns" em afirmativas,interrogativas e negativas.

Não é uma obrigação,há casos onde "some" e "any" tornam a estrutura mais natural,não somente com o "there to be",mas com qualquer outra combinação,"have","get","would like",etc.Veja casos onde o uso de "some" e "any" é natural:

Would you like some juice?(Aceita suco?)
Don´t worry,I still have some money.(Não se preocupe,ainda tenho dinheiro.)
Do you have any news?(Você tem notícia,alguma notícia?)
Do you want some soda?(Quer refrigerante?)
There is some milk in the fridge.(Tem leite na geladeira.)

*Não usar "some" ou "any",pode,muitas vezes, deixar a frase menos natural.
