Well man,
I bet I'm not the best one to answer you such a thing, but, you can tell anybody a whole damn lot of things, and they will certainly understand your point.
In this point under discussion here, I still think you can use lots of ways to ask somebody to stop running or something.
For example, you could use: "May you stop running", or "Would you stop running please", or even "You'd better stop running right now you fu****************************** ;) (hope you understand)".
However, once your main point was to confirm wether saying "Stop calling" was right or not, well, in my point of view, that's extremely correct.

And the same goes to the "Keep running". You could use: "keep running, don't give up", "keep running please", "go on man! don't stop running!".
So, straightforwardly, it is all a metter of choosing.

Rubens

I like Rubens' response! All of those examples are great, although "May you stop running" sounds very strange to me. It seems less like a command and more like a desire...

"May god bless you"
"Que deus te abençoe"
"Que você consiga parar" ;)

Anyway, all the rest are great! Other methods can work too. For example:
"You've got to stop calling, it's 3am!"
"If you don't stop calling me, I'll make you stop!"
"Keep calling me and you'll see o que é bom pra tosse"

Pessoal,

Complementando...

Pode-se usar 'quit',que é comum em inglês americano, para se dizer 'pare'.

Quit running.(Pare de correr.)
Quit calling.(Pare de ligar.)

Pode-se usar também 'keep on' para se dizer 'continue'.

Keep on running.(Continue correndo.)

Flávia,

Keep calling me and you´ll be in trouble.

Boa sorte!
realmente,a velha e boa preposiçao rsrs ótimo site (fórun) respostas objetivas e rapidas ...xd

Hello. Does the "and you'll see o que é bom pra tosse" part in no less ambiguous terms mean, "and I'll flatten your nose across your face"? No? What then?

Pretty much, haha! "O que é bom pra tosse" is just an unspecified threat or punishment.

Don't call me or I'm gonna have to teach you a lesson!
Don't call me or I'll set you straight!
Don't call me or else!
Don't call me or I'll give you what for! (decreasing usage, but still ok)

I can't think of any more off the top of my head...
