Olá pessoal,

Vejam o exemplo abaixo:

Ouvi dizer que o Lucas lima já está apalavrado com o Palmeiras para a temporada de 2018. Mas você sabe, a verdade no futebol não dura 24 horas.

Como dizer "A verdade no futebol não dura 24hrs" em inglês?

Valeus

The truth in soccer doesn't last 24 hours.

And one more to the discussion:

...Mas você sabe, a verdade no futebol não dura 24 horas.
With soccer you never knows, in a matter of minutes everything can change!

It´s not a plain translation in itself, a word for word, but the imagery is the same.
I see...

What about this one?

"You can't rely on soccer decisions. Everything might change overnight."

PS: You've made a little typo. It's "you never know", not "knows".

Yes, I made a typo, thanks for pointing it out. As for your sentence, you can use it.

But then "Soccer decisions are fleeting and not final/decisive. Everything might change overnight." seems more accurate, because soccer decisions are reliable once they are put in a contract. Fleeting (fugazes) sounds more to the point here, but it might depend on context.
