Para dizer "antecipar" (fazer acontecer antes do tempo original) um evento (reunião, festa, consulta, etc) sugiro:

1. Move up / Move up the date of (opções comuns em inglês americano)
  • The meeting was supposed to take place at 5:00, but it has been moved up to 1:00.
  • I'd like to move the meeting up. [Eu gostaria de antecipar a reunião.]
  • We moved up the date of the wedding. "Really? To when?" [Nós antecipamos o casamento. "Mesmo? Para quando?"]
  • Academy Awards organizers may move up the date of the show. [Organizadores do Academy Awards podem antecipar (a data do) show.]
2. Bring forward (opção mais comum no inglês britânico)
  • We need to bring the meeting forward from Tuesday to Monday so that more people can attend.
  • My boss brought forward the conference by three days so I could attend it before I left for vacation.

"To bring something forward" would be a very unusual way to translate antecipar in that context. A much more natural translation is "to reschedule for an earlier time or date".

For example: I need to reschedule the party for an earlier date since I am going to be out of town on the originally scheduled date.

Hi folks,

Exemplos.:
- I can anticipate to you that renting one van costs as much as 3 economy cars. (community.ricksteves.com)
- I can anticipate to you that the story exceeded my expectations, not only from the writing part but especially in the emotional side.

Thanks :)

"Move up" would be about dates: to re-schedule at an earlier time or date.

"Anticipated" would be "thought in advance" as in a plan, brainstorm or something. I mean, in the senses and context we have seen in this discussion.
