- O frio ataca minha bronquite e asma.

He had a bronchitis attack.
He had an Asthma attack.
He had an Asthma crisis.
To me an attack suggests a shorter time, whereas crisis it´s a longer one.
An asthma attack could be a specific attack, if the patient took his medicine it would be treated (then the patient would be relieved). Let´s say the patient has another attack every other fours hours, then would be a crisis.
In the case in point, the person could't sleep all night, I would say he had a crisis.
"I don´t eat shrimps or else I get an allergic reaction right away."

Eu, pessoalmente, vejo muito as opções com "attack": a sudden short period of suffering from an illness, especially an illness that you have often. [Longman Dictionary]
a bronchitis attack
an attack of asthma
''Like histamines, leukotrienes are chemicals secreted during an attack of allergy or asthma.'' [Sun Sentinel - USA]
''To understand how allergy shots (allergy immunotherapy) work, let's look at what happens when you have an allergy attack [quando a sua alergia ataca - quando você tem um ataque de alergia].'' [Allergy Associates of Utah - USA]
