Vitor, se você pesquisar no Google por "battery of samba school", "samba school battery" ou pelo termo "battery" referindo-se a escolas de samba, você encontrará vários exemplos. Nas minhas traduções, eu não acrescentei "samba school" porque o contexto está claro que se trata de Carnaval.

the drums section's retreat is the place reserved for its drummers drum while the samba school parades,after some time spent there the drums section goes out of this place and comes back to parade in the Sambadrome until the end of the parade.

The drummer´s retreat is a place designated to the drummers section, so the last section (ala) of the Samba School (usually a “baianas” section.) can regroup and all sections with no drummers leaves of the Sambodrome in a piece (dispersion area).
Without stopping the drumming and the singing, they go after the float. And the parade to that school is finished. Mission accomplished.
Of course, all that is timed, and if done in synch (and without gaps between sections or between sections and the floats) scores points to the school.
