Como dizer capítulos e versículos da Bíblia em inglês
Olá pessoal,
Gostaria de saber qual a forma correta de pronunciar aqueles números que correspondem a uma passagem biblica?
Ex: What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? - Romans 8:31
Seria somente Romans eight, third one ?
Valeus

Yep, Marcio you get it right.
Examples:
Let´s open our bibles to Romans chapter 12 verse 1.
In Romans eight verse thirty-one it says "What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?" (In written form, you can just use - In Romans 8:31. Or "Rom. 8:31" (abbreviated form.)

Ótima explicação Paulo.
Daniel, caso seja um Evangelho (Matthew, Mark, Luke or John) é comum dizer "Gospel" antes do livro.
Por exemplo:
Beloved Brethren, now, I'm turning to the Gospel of Matthew chapter five.

Apenas acrescentando ao que já foi dito,
Também é comum apenas falar os números diretamente:
"Romans Eight Thirty One"
Também é comum apenas falar os números diretamente:
"Romans Eight Thirty One"
And in more academical contexts, "Romans Eight, Thirty-One". More colloquially it would be "Romans Eight Thirty One". Thanks for sharing, Llevi.
