But sometimes these are used as well:
Affectionately dubbed...
Lovely called...
Affectionately called...
The latter ones are not (in Portuguese) something clear to Brazilian ears and eyes (e.g. Right at the reading of it), but with a bit of reasoning we get there.
Their praise for the 1.69m tall "Flea", as he has been affectionately dubbed because of his small stature and strength.
(that happens with Portuguese as well, when we call someone by a affectionate nickname it means that he/she is "affectionately known" by that very name.)
