It´s common to use the "speeding" word.
The (car) driver failed to reduce the speed on the curve entry.

The car was speeding when the driver lost control at a curve.

The car was speeding when the driver failed to take a curve and lost control.

The car was speeding when it went off the road on a slight right curve near the exit 35 off-ramp and hit a large tree, police said.
(notice that it was a “slight right curve”)

Investigators say the driver of the car was speeding when they came around a curve and fishtailed.

Witnesses told troopers that the car was speeding when it bumped over some railroad tracks, crossed into an oncoming lane, and hit a minivan head-on.

But in your case, we could also think that the drive was driving recklessly before getting to the curve, we can say that "he was driving at too high speed at a sustained period of time even before approaching the curve." That is, he might be driving recklessly even way before getting to the curve.

But let´s wait for more comments on this one.
